Cabin vacation rentals in Akron

We love Amish country! This area was new to us. It was remote, relaxing and VERY clean! Carol was very prompt with her responses.

If you have family in this remote area, this is the place to stay. Easy to get to two local towns. The home is peaceful and relaxing. A Ohio girl who turned Floridian, found it very refreshing to find a quiet, clean, place with all the amenities. Wonderful home for to visit family young and old.

Overall, it was a very good choice for a couple who wants to get away from the city life. The hot tub was amazing. Town is 15 minutes or less away but that 15 minutes takes you to the country. The check-in process was easy and the cabin was spotless upon arrival. It was a nice two night getaway for us and I would definitely recommend it for someone who wants quiet time for themselves or with someone else.

Everything was exactly as described and the cabin and property were immaculate! Check in was easy- and we were all impressed with the amenities in the kitchen. There was lots of space indoors, a great fire pit outside, next level hot tub, and the heated floors in the game room were a hit. We all agreed we would love to stay here again sometime soon!

Such a beautiful, relaxing weekend getaway. Highly recommend getting the birthday package! Cake and pretzels were amazing!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was clean, and spacious and easy to get to. It rained most of the time but the fireplace was cozy and the views were peaceful. We did have some confusion around getting the hot tub to heat up, and had difficultly contacting the host but this may have been partially due to the spotty cell service. Overall we enjoyed our time and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing staycation.

After a long drive to get there, there is nothing better than finding a place that is exactly or even better than advertised. What a beautiful cabin. What we appreciated the best, I think, was all the room. We each had our own rooms and at no time did it seem like we were all piled in together. Really spacious, peaceful.... just beautiful! Beautiful home in a peaceful area. Kitchen had tons of kitchen gadgets and tools to use. Our family kept on mentioning how this maybe the nicest Airbnb that we have every stayed in. (And we have been in 10+) Lindsay was responsive and helpful. We had a great time and felt right at home :)

Our stay at the Barn exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked through the door we felt like we were in the home of friends. We highly recommend The Beacon Cafe which is a short walk from the Barn. (Delicious coffee and very friendly staff) We enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again! Thanks, Marlene!

This was a wonderful experience. The cabin was adorable and was just the perfect size for my husband and I and our 3 dogs to relax and unwind with plently of land to explore. It was amazing waking up and looking out the kitchen window and seeing a farm, trees and steers instead of other houses or a busy street. The stars at night, without all the light pollution are just breathtaking. Jan and his family were very friendly and welcoming and there whenever you needed them. My dogs had a great time playing indoors and out, even though the weather was not the greatest. We will definitely be staying again, but definitely longer next time, we didn't want to leave!

This was our second time staying here and the cabin had been remodeled on the inside. It was great before, but the updates are beautiful! There are thoughtful touches everywhere. The kitchen is fully stocked. We cooked every night and never were lacking in what we needed. And the property is beautiful. We will definitely be coming back again!

With renting on vrbo I feel I am more critical of experiences. This was an immaculately decorated cabin which had every amenity inside and out and more. Will definitely be back.

The cabin was exceptionally clean and cozy with a lovely view. It felt more private than we were expecting based on some of the other reviews we'd read. The hosts were very responsive and they provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. We definitely agree that everyone should get donuts from Miller's Bakery and pancakes from Boyd & Wurthmann - both are the best we've ever had!! Another thing worth mentioning is that the fitness center at the Berlin Resort, which was included in the stay, has a fantastic strength training area.

The Sweet Dreams cabin was everything we hoped for and more. It was beautiful inside and out. The large deck with abundant seating overlooking a pond was great for having your morning coffee or evening cocktail. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower and whirlpool tub. It was easily accessible to the main road. We loved that it was pet-friendly and had a station outside with poo bags and trash. The shed had propane tanks in case the grill or fire table ran out along with wood for the fire pit. There was a very nice bike/walking trail within a 15 minute drive. Tom, the owner, even stopped by to say hi and see if we needed anything. We had a great stay and loved that we could bring our dog. We will be back!

Marks cabin was absolutely gorgeous and extremely peaceful. I loved how secluded it was. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend stay at his property. If I am ever in the area again I would 100% stay there. Overall I had a great weekend at this cabin.

This is a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing getaway…clean, comfortable and private. We enjoyed a hike at nearby Dundee Falls on a beautiful March day… Just what we wanted/needed for a few days off…we would book this beautiful cabin again!

We had a wonderful visit! We were able to relax, and set aside our busy lives for a little while. It was even more special, because one of us is recently post cancer treatment, and now well enough to travel with again. We accidentally locked ourselves out one time, and I left some medicine in a dresser drawer when we left. Ruth responded right away and helped us. We have only good and happy things to say about Mockingbird Lodge!!

The cabin is beautifully nestled in woods. I wanted a home to spend time with family during post Christmas, and this met my expectations. The deer outside the back were an extra bonus. The nearby train might bother some, but it did not interfere with our joyous occasion. Very cute village within a few minutes of walking. The price was high, but its location to our Cleveland family during the holiday was convenient. Leisa was very available to answer any questions we had. Lovely spot!

3rd and extended stay at Jody's.... I just love the unassuming location and privacy and right at home feel when you walk in the door.... always exceptionally clean and i got to experience the Snow Globe effect of watching the Snow amongst the wall of windows .... for DoorDash users like myself, no issues in finding the location. And Jody yet again is responsive and caring and hospitable to any needs or concerns. When I'm in Ohio this is where I aim to stay..... youll appreciate all the amenity touches and comforts .... Thanks again 🙌🏼

'Just Breathe' Cabin absolutely lives up to its name! It is clean, cozy, charming, relaxing, simple, and surrounded by peace, calm, and nature! Kris was an absolute gem who made the whole process incredibly easy, and was very flexible with us, when we needed it due to the very long distance we traveled. We definitely plan to be repeat guests, next time we are in the area!

Stayed overnight for my Daughter’s volleyball tournament that was in the area . Beautiful location and property! Check in was fast and easy. All of my questions were answered in a timely manner . Overall it was a great place to stay! I would definitely recommend this property!

This place was so beautiful in the heard of Amish country and so close to the national park for a ladies weekend hiking trip! Jamie was so kind and when I asked her for local recommendations came loaded with options! There were also a ton of informational brochures in the cabin for us. Though it rained again and we weren’t able to nave a fire, she was so considerate by bringing dry firewood after a storm and even boxes to help get it going. The covered porch was perfect to listen to the rain and have a glass of wine. The kitchen had so many thoughtful items like a blender and even a lot of spices! We had 7 ladies during our stay but never felt squished or on top of eachother! It was very comfortable to spread out and still have privacy in the evening for sleeping arrangements. The curtains separating the twin beds upstairs is a nice touch!

We loved our stay at this cabin! We wanted somewhere on the lake that we would be able to drop our kayaks in and this was perfect. The sunrise over the lake was stunning! The cabin is so cute and cozy. We would definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area!
