Experience how it feels to live in a typical dutch (Holland) village! We, Peter and Lia, live here for about 25 years with our family. We are carpenters and we sell our handmade furniture in our own small shop at our property. We made our guesthouse "De Gortla". We love to travel and be in our garden (as you can see). For a while, enjoy nature on the outskirts of the IJsselmeer, surrounded by beautiful nature reserves. In the 2700m2 backyard of our farmhouse, there are two detached tiny houses with a large private garden and private entrance with lots of privacy . The deck-house and wheelhouse in the back of a former sailing cargo-ship van 1888 is transformed into a small apartment . The rest of the boat is a shop with sailing / marine equipment and a bunker station. The entrance is due to the age of the ship a small steep stair, keep that in mind. The surrounding is a lively harbor with sail-ships and cruise-ships. There is a parking available for €5 - a night very closeby. So enjoy the sound and movements of the water!

Directly on the waterfront we rent a cozy cottage with kitchen, boxspring bed, bathroom and sauna. Fantastic views over countryside and nature reserve Egboetswater. Visit historic towns of Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik. 40 minutes by car from Amsterdam, an hour drive to Texel, 40 minutes by car from the North Holland coast. Lovely surroundings for biking and hiking. Fish water in front of the door. The property has private access, so for you all privacy.
