Kelmscott Manor was the country home of the writer, designer and socialist William Morris from 1871 until his death in 1896. Kelmscott is an hour walk along the Thames footpath or a 10 minute drive.
Home of Arts & Crafts legend William Morris (1878-96), now base of William Morris Society. It was also Kelmscott Press site, with "Chaucer", often called the most beautiful book ever printed
