The space
As soon as you drive down the quintessential PEI driveway, lined by a golden hay field on one side and a rich red soiled potato field on the other, you'll feel the relaxation start to set in. This one bedroom cottage is fully equipped so will be a like a home away from home, but likely a bit smaller! The only thing it is not equipped with is internet - we see this as a positive to allow you to unplug and reconnect with one another and the outdoors. Cell service is strong so you can use data without any trouble if needed.
Bedroom - queen size bed with new memory foam mattress, lots of storage room in armoire and drawers beneath bed
Loft - comfortable sectional sofa bed with a memory foam mattress topper, TV with many DVDs, guitar, rocking chair
Bathroom - shower/bathtub, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, towels & facecloths, washing machine and dryer.
Kitchen - fully equipped with stove/oven, fridge/freezer, plates, cutlery, pots/pans, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, etc.
Shed - includes plenty of storage space for your sports equipment (kites, etc). Includes 2 kayaks (10 ft and 8ft) and paddles for your use (2 children’s lifejackets included), 1 paddle board and paddle. Also includes spikeball,
bocce ball, washer toss, and croquet sets
There's no better way to start the day then with a freshly brewed coffee on the front deck watching the sunrise. After that, the world is your oyster, to use or eat! Kiteboard, paddleboard, or kayak from the front yard in beautiful Malpeque bay, have a beach day, play golf, or visit many of the interesting sites or parks in Cavendish, Summerside, Charlottetown and beyond. For supper, a homemade meal of local lobster and seafood enjoyed at the cottage or going out and experiencing one of the many incredible local restaurants, you can't go wrong. End off your busy day by watching the beautiful sunset sitting by the firetable with friends or family. Stargazing is a must before you head to bed!
Guest access
You'll have access to the entire cottage, shed, yard and bay.
Other things to note
Reservations Saturday to Saturday only.
Garbage and compost will need to be taken to the bins at the end of the driveway regularly. Recyclables should be sorted into two blue bags (one for paper/cardboard, one for plastic/aluminum/glass) and left in shed.

Neighbourhood highlights
Windy dreams is located in the country on the bay. The closest neighbours are about 1/2 km away so it really is a private spot. However, there are many great places nearby:
1) Princetown point, AKA KITE POINT - for all you kiteboarders, the main kiteboard spot on the island is only about 10 min away. You can drive there, or if you're more adventurous, you can do a downwinder from the cottage (if it's the predominant SW wind) and arrive in style! If you're looking for lessons, check out PEI kiteboarding or The Paddleshack
2) Kensington - 10 min
- Has a liquor store, small grocery stores, restaurants (Island Stone Pub), gas, pharmacy
3) Malpeque - 10 min
- Church, restaurant/art gallery (O'Neil's cafe), fresh seafood store (Basinview seafood)
4) Summerside - 15 min
- Has all amenities, entertainment, boardwalk, local artisan shops, cafes (Samuel's)
5) Charlottetown - 1 hour
- Capital city with all amenities and much more (theatre, great restaurants, boardwalk, weekend market, shopping, local artisan shops, etc)
There are festivals happening every day around the island as well, so keep your eye out for those! In particular, check out the Indian River Festival as it's a 5 min drive down the road, with world class artists performing in an incredibly beautiful church.
