Located on the north step of Algonquin Park, Taggart Lake House is a family oriented getaway available year round, and offers bright, spacious and comfortable accommodations with private lakefront access on a vast 6 acre lot.

The space
You get a full 3 storey, 6 bedroom, upgraded and fully furnished and equipped house offering complete privacy. Our cottage is family friendly and we especially welcome hosting large family socials and reunions!

Lots of love, care and thought has gone into setting the place up to maximize comfort! Please see the list of amenities and pictures to see everything that is being offered.

Outside, you have access to a completely private, secluded deck and hot tub.

There is a large semi-private yard with direct access to the lake offering private docks (launching and floating docks in the lake) for swimming and fishing, and water boating like canoeing, kayaking and paddle boating.

Winter activities including fishing on the lake (spring fed), snow mobiling trails close by, winter hunting, skating, and of course SKIING (15 minutes from Antoine ski resort and 30 minutes from Laurentian ski resort).

Please bring your own linens: pillows, comforters, bedsheets, and towels. Clean linens can be provided at an extra cost - please see below.

Before You Book – Important Notes for Your Stay

We want all our guests to have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience. Please keep in mind:

• Swimming Access: The shoreline at the front dock is not suitable for wading due to soft, muddy areas. For the best swimming experience, we recommend using the floating dock, which can be reached by paddle boat or other watercraft provided. This is especially important for children’s safety.

• Wildlife Awareness: Our cottage is surrounded by beautiful nature, which means local wildlife—such as bats, field mice, and squirrels—may be nearby. To help keep them outside where they belong, please keep doors and windows closed when not in use.

These small steps will help ensure you have the best and safest possible stay.

• LINENS: Please note, linens are not included (please bring your own pillows, comforters, bedsheets and towels).

However clean, professionally washed linens can be provided for $30 + HST for each set.

Each set includes 2 pillows and pillow covers, 1 duvet with cover, 2 bath towels, and 1 flat sheet for the bed.

Requests must be made minimum one week in advance of your check in date.

• Firewood is not provided. You can purchase your own from nearby gas stations, grocery stores, or even the resort next door (Lazyrock).

• BBQ gas cyclinders/tanks are provided - there is a spare full one in the garage.
