Straight Fin Farms is a 34-acre private retreat with 500 ft of your own waterfront. The farmhouse sleeps 16+ across 6 bedrooms and 4.5 baths (plus bonus bunkie also part of property), designed for multi-family getaways, milestone weekends, and groups who want the whole property to themselves. Forest, trails, hot tub, kayaks, pedal boat, outdoor fireplace, and a real working hobby farm with no neighbours in sight. The whole place is yours, 8 min from downtown Bobcaygeon and 1.5 hr from Toronto.

The space
THE FARMHOUSE
Reached by a private road, the farmhouse is surrounded by forest with no neighbours in sight. Sleeps 16 across 7 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, with a full kitchen built to feed a crowd, a bar area, and large open dining and living spaces. Four TVs, table tennis, a basketball arcade, board games, chess. Dedicated workspace and fast Wi-Fi throughout for anyone who needs to dip into work.

THE LAND
500 ft of private creek waterfront with kayaks and a pedal boat. Forest trails, orchards, and open fields across 34 acres. Outdoor hot tub, outdoor fireplace, BBQ, and a large deck for dining, yoga, or birdwatching. Cornhole, soccer, room to run. A natural pond — swimmable in spring, ice fishing in winter for the brave. Wildlife is part of the experience: eagles, deer, herons, beavers, turtles.

GETTING HERE
A car is essential. From the GTA, the best route is via Hwy 35/115 then Hwy 36 East to Bobcaygeon. We strongly recommend arriving by daylight if it's your first time — Free parking on the property for 10 vehicles.

ABOUT THE FARM
Straight Fin Farms is a working hobby farm built around permaculture, beekeeping, and mushroom cultivation. The bees, gardens, and mushroom logs are observation only. If you find ripe apples, pears, cherries, berries, peaches or other fruits in the orchard, help yourself! Hands-on workshops and certification retreats — ask us to be added to our waitlist.

Guest access
The entire 34-acre property is yours during your stay — farmhouse, deck, hot tub, waterfront, trails, pond, kayaks, pedal boat, and outdoor amenities.

Self check-in via the August Lock app. We'll send detailed instructions a few days before your arrival.

The permaculture gardens, beehives, and mushroom logs are observation only — please feel free to wander past and learn, but no harvesting without us being there. If you find apples, cherries, pears, peaches or berries that are ripe, help yourself! We're available by message anytime during your stay if you have questions about the farm or the area.

Our 34-acre hobby farm features gardens, beehives, mushrooms, an orchard, forest, pond, and waterfront to explore.
