Salty Cedar Hideaway is centrally located in Ucluelet and is tucked away, nestled in a forest of ferns and cedar trees. It is a 2 minute walk from the most beautiful coastline trail, Black Rock Resort, Big Beach and the accompanying rugged beaches. We are close to town (5-7 minute walk) but with all the nature around us, it does not give that impression. Relax inside with fully heated floors, a large walk in shower, fast fibre wifi and high vaulted ceilings.

The space
Situated amongst the salty cedar trees, our guest suite is modern, custom-built and family-friendly. It conveniently has its own entrance around the back, an outdoor space for lounging, and an area to rinse wetsuits-perfect for surfers and beach goers alike. Inside, enjoy the heated floors, king-sized bed, 48" T.V., high speed fibre wifi and west coast decor to keep you feeling cozy on those stormy nights. The kitchenette boasts a seamless-stainless steel counter top and sink, mini fridge, toaster, coffee maker, microwave and kettle. There is no stove/oven in our suite. There's a large walk in shower with a rainwater faucet and the essentials to keep you feeling fresh and clean. We are located close to town but you'd never know it thanks to our long driveway and beautiful surrounding rainforest.

Other things to note
Breakfast is not offered. Our zoning does not permit cooking unfortunately so there is no kitchen stove.

We have two children that are sweet and adorable.

Late check outs or early check ins should be arranged prior to the date and only during the off season. The summer season is too busy unfortunately.

We are not currently pet friendly.

We have lived in Ucluelet for 20 years, are avid surfers and outdoor enthusiasts. We hopefully will be able to help with any information needed regarding to your adventure here on the West Coast!

Neighbourhood highlights

Our neighbourhood is fairly new and we have some of the best sidewalks in Ucluelet! In the late summer, you will find lots of wild berries, such as ever green huckleberries and salal. Every lot in the neighbourhood is a half acre or more with a mandatory green belt to give privacy between homes and to keep the rainforest feel. Our property, .8 of an acre, sits a short path away from the wild pacific trail and it's beautiful rugged beaches.

Black rock is a short walk away where you can enjoy a massage, spa day, food or drinks while watching the waves crash ashore.
