Rocky Mountain Lakehouse is a cozy, alpine-inspired cottage on Hirtle Lake, centrally located in the heart of Nova Scotia. Just steps from the shoreline, our charming retreat offers a private, relaxing escape with plenty of nearby tourist destinations, close to many attractions.
*The base rate covers up to 5 guests; additional fees apply for groups of 6–8. For added comfort groups of 7 or 8 are provided access to the 3rd bedroom in the basement.

The space
When you book this secluded home, you will have a beautiful view of the lake surrounded by nature. The lakehouse is situated on a treed property with lake access, a private dock, and a gazebo. You will also have a BBQ and outdoor fire pit. This is an ideal place for you and yours to unwind and spend some well deserved vacation time.

Two bedrooms include a king-size bed and a double over queen bunk bed. The open concept kitchen and large centre island provide lots of space for cooking and make this a great place to socialize over meals. During the colder months, cozy up beside the wood stove indoors.

*The base rate covers up to 5 guests; additional fees apply for groups of 6–8.

For added comfort and privacy groups of 7 or 8 are provided access to the basement bedroom with a queen, a twin and a cot. This bedroom is in the walkout basement with a separate outside entrance. Smaller groups may request it at an additional change. Please contact us for pricing.
**The basement does not have a washroom. Guests must use the main floor washroom facilities.**

The house is full of natural light and stunning lake views - surrounded by nature.

There is a canoe & kayak on-site should you wish to use it. There are a number of life-jackets on site as well, but to be safe, we suggest you bring your own. Please use at your own risk, and we cannot accept responsibility for any issues that may arise.

There are movies and board games in the home, along with a Buck Hunter arcade machine.

The large driveway provides parking for multiple vehicles. Washer and dryer are located conveniently within the home. This is a comfortable, welcoming house for you to make a home during your time in Nova Scotia.

*Please note that this property is in a rural and roads can sometimes be affected in the winter season. Keep in mind that there can often be a delay of as much as a 1-2 days for plows to access the roads after heavy snowfalls*

• I provide fresh linens and towels, and basic essentials upon your arrival.
• Access to ample parking.
• Laundry in the home.
• Help yourself to anything in the house and kitchen. It was all left here for
you.
• Guests have access to the canoe on-site, but it is to be used at your own
risk.

Other things to note
• There are a a couple of stairs leading up to the main entrance, and a full
flight leading up to the secondary entrance of the home.
• The outdoor shower is only available in summer months

The lakehouse is located in East Clifford on a quiet, secluded road in rural Nova Scotia. There are many local amenities a short drive away, 15 minutes to the nearest town of New Germany and 25 minutes to various restaurants, shops and attractions in the nearby town of Bridgewater.

There are many scenic drives to serval maritime designations such as coastal beaches, Annapolis Valley and within 1.5 hour drive to Halifax and historical Lunenburg.
