Welcome to the Quilter's Inn, a spacious, spotlessly clean 2-bedroom apartment in a charming heritage home, sleeping up to 4. Handmade quilts, vintage charm, comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and easy self check-in. 10 minutes to downtown Belleville and CFB Trenton, 20 to Prince Edward County wineries, 40 to Sandbanks. Ideal for quilting retreats, girls' weekends, military and business stays, or family getaways. Note: on a main road, so light sleepers may notice traffic noise.

The space
The Quilter's Inn is a bright, spacious two-bedroom apartment above our quilt shop, set in a heritage home along the Bay of Quinte. A curved staircase leads up to the suite, where handmade quilts and vintage character run throughout — guests are often surprised at how much larger and warmer it feels in person. The bay is visible from the main bedroom and bathroom windows.

Inside you'll find:

Two private bedrooms with comfortable beds, fresh linens, and plenty of storage
A large living room with comfortable seating and a smart TV with streaming apps (Netflix unavailable; sign in with your own accounts)
A fully equipped kitchen — stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and utensils
Laundry facilities for longer stays
Air conditioning and WiFi throughout

Easy self check-in with clear instructions, and a host who answers quickly. Ten minutes to downtown Belleville and CFB Trenton, twenty to Prince Edward County wineries, forty to Sandbanks.

Thoughtful extras include fresh towels and a tea and coffee selection. Please note the home faces a main road, so light sleepers may notice traffic noise.

Guest access
Guests have full, private use of the entire apartment — both bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. The suite is exclusively yours for your stay.

A private entrance with self check-in means you can arrive any time after 3:00 p.m., including very late at night. Spacious on-site parking is available.

Our quilt shop is on the main floor of the building, open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Guests are welcome to browse. The quilting and sewing studio can also be arranged in advance, free of charge — a nice option for retreat groups or anyone who wants to sew during their stay.

Other things to note
The apartment is on the second floor, reached by a curved heritage staircase. There is no elevator, and the stairs are not gated, so the space isn't suitable for infants or toddlers. Please consider this if anyone in your party has mobility limitations.

The home faces a main road. Most guests sleep fine, but light sleepers may notice traffic noise — the smaller bedroom faces the parking area with its window on the side of the house, making it the quieter of the two.

No pets and no smoking anywhere on the property.

Check-in is any time after 3:00 p.m. via private entrance with self check-in.

The Quilter's Inn sits along Old Highway 2 between Belleville and Trenton, in the Bay of Quinte region — a quiet stretch of heritage homes and farmland, with the water visible from the main bedroom and bathroom windows.

Just minutes away: Birdies for a classic diner meal and the Olympic Restaurant for breakfast. Ten minutes takes you to Larks in downtown Belleville or The Local Social House — both excellent for dinner and cocktails.

Downtown Belleville is ten minutes east, with shops and the waterfront trail. CFB Trenton is ten minutes west. Twenty minutes south brings you into Prince Edward County and its wineries — Sandbanks Winery and Karlo Estates are two favourites. North Beach Provincial Park is a lovely find: closer than Sandbanks and far less crowded. Sandbanks itself is about forty minutes.

In summer, the Belleville Farmers' Market runs Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with pop-up events at Centennial Park on the bay in Quinte West.
