The space
Guests have exclusive use of the entire guest suite.
A private entrance; fully equipped kitchen including stove, new dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine (with pods); and all the pots, pans, dishes, glasses and utensils you could need, as well as smoothie recipe books and blender; in-suite washer and dryer; large double bedroom with king bed, large dresser, closet space - hangers, iron & ironing board; dedicated work space in living room area with view into converted carport and a glimpse of the fields and trees beyond; sofabed that can be made into a small twin bed; a selection of indoor and outdoor games; books; tourist leaflets and info; bath tub with shower over; electric fireplace; high-speed wifi; 2k smart TV with Netflix, Disney and more; thermostats to control temperature; comfortable three seater couch; and all the little extras that make it feel like home.

Guests also have exclusive use of two outdoor areas including the converted carport featuring outdoor dining, a swing chair, lanterns, and a brand new BBQ. There is also a green garden with outdoor dining and hammock, surrounded by tall trees - with views of nearby farmland and Mount Tzouhalem. Guests have a dedicated parking spot right outside the suite entrance, indicated with a white sign. Maple Villa is on a quiet no-through road with wildlife all around, yet conveniently located just a few minutes from Duncan and the Trans Canada Highway.

Please note that the sofabed is twin size and suitable for 1 adult only. 3 adults can sleep comfortably at Maple Villa Guest Suite. Or 2 adults and 2 children.

In addition to the fully furnished guest suite, guests have exclusive use of two outdoor areas. One is covered, in a stylishly converted carport - so you can enjoy cooking outside on the brand new BBQ or relaxing in the swing chair even if it's raining!
On sunny days, relax in the lush green guest suite garden with outdoor dining; a hammock for reading, sunbathing or snoozing; and views of nearby farmland with lambs and cows; while partially shaded by tall mature trees.

Guests have a dedicated, signposted parking spot conveniently located by the entrance to the suite.

Please be conscious of wildlife on the road and nearby roads. There are often deer, bunnies, quail and squirrels. Maybe even the occasional black bear!

Maple Villa Guest Suite has 1 king bed and 1 small sofabed that transforms into a single twin. This set up can work for 2 adults + 2 young children, or 3 adults.

The twin sofabed (small grey sofa) can be made up as needed in advance of your stay - either in the main bedroom or near the dining area, according to your preference.

There's so much to see and do - breathtaking trails for hiking and biking; whale watching; kayaking and paddle boarding; swimming in the sea or floating down the river; local markets; theatre, shopping, pubs, cafes and restaurants; beach days; unique tourist attractions like the Malahat Skywalk and of course many, many wineries - one within walking distance!

The Cowichan Valley is the perfect place to escape, reconnect with what matters, and make some magical forever-memories.
For photographers, filmakers, writers, painters and poets, there's nowhere more inspiring.

Victoria, Nanaimo and Lake Cowichan are all within a 1 hour drive. The cute and quirky coastal towns of Chemainus, Ladysmith and Cowichan Bay are all within 30 minutes drive. There are many small towns to explore, and the drive between them is always scenic.

Maple Villa Guest Suite makes for the best road-trip stop on route from Victoria to Tofino or farther north up the island.
