A 3-storey art-chalet in Sainte-Émélie-de-l’Énergie: hot tub, sauna, private pond and lake access with a dock 100 m away.
An immersive creation by the artist Barco, La Maison du temps makes you lose track of time. Slow down, reconnect with nature and your loved ones. All the usual comforts are here; the rest, you’ll discover on site.

The space
Welcome to La Maison du temps, a habitable art-chalet on three floors in Sainte-Émélie-de-l’Énergie, in the Lanaudière region. Created by the artist Barco around the tale of a great Québécois poet, this one-of-a-kind place is felt as much as visited: 60+ years of calendars line the walls and ceilings, and you quickly lose track of time. Perfect to reconnect with friends or family, far from the everyday.

A journey across three floors:
• 2nd floor (entrance): fully equipped kitchen, dining room and two bedrooms — the Black room and the Yoko room (a nod to the Lennon and Ono Bed-In) — with a bathroom.
• 1st floor: a bar-counter with a wood fireplace, a TV nook with a large DVD collection, the boat-bed room, a second bathroom and the indoor sauna. An office corner holds a version of the unpublished tale engraved on a copper book — revealing what inhabits the chalet, inside and out, as the tale comes to life.
• 3rd floor: the Oyster and its recited tale, many cozy nooks to settle in, and a terrace with a panoramic view over the pond and forest.

Outside, the artwork extends into nature. An outdoor hot tub invites you to relax facing the forest, while the private artist-shaped pond — outdoor fire pit, lounge chairs and hammocks — becomes a little theatre of flowing water. At the end of the path, about a hundred metres away, private access and a private dock open onto the lake, with watercraft included for swimming and paddling.

Good to know: the chalet intentionally offers no Internet so you can fully embrace the experience; cellular coverage is enough for calls and emails. All the usual comforts are here.

Guest access
You have access to the whole house (3 floors) and the 65,000 sq ft grounds. An outdoor hot tub and an indoor sauna are available for you to unwind, surrounded by nature.
By the artist-shaped pond, a relaxation area awaits you: an outdoor fire pit, lounge chairs and a hammock.
At the end of the path, about 100 m away, you have private access and a private dock on the lake, with watercraft included.

Other things to note
- The house is provided with fresh linens and towels. It is a habitable work of art : we invite you to treat it with care and respect the objects that inhabit it.
- The pond bordering the house was shaped by the artist and its water flows continuously. We cannot, however, certify it for swimming: enjoy it as you wish, at your own pace and discretion.
- Please note that the chalet intentionally offers no Internet access, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the experience. Sufficient cellular coverage, however, enables you to check emails or make calls as needed.
