The space
We are big city people. We live in the hustle. The deadlines, the traffic, the constant noise and movement. And somewhere along the way, we realized we were forgetting something important: our actual well-being.
That is why we built Kabinhaus. We needed a place to disconnect from the busy city life and reconnect with nature. The kind of space that gives you a fresher mind, real peace, and the tranquility to actually think clearly again.
We built this for ourselves first. Then we realized other people need this too.
The idea was simple. Floor to ceiling windows that wrap around the cabin and bring the forest inside. We wanted simplicity, a sense of adventure, and a placement that felt just right. No distractions. Just nature, light, and space to breathe.
Kabinhaus is perfect for one or two couples, or a small family who gets it. People who appreciate thoughtful design, who crave quiet, and who need a real getaway into nature to reset.
We followed a Scandinavian inspired aesthetic because it felt honest. Minimalist, clean, flooded with natural light. Floor to ceiling windows throughout, well thought out elevations, and light pouring in from every angle. We built it with the surrounding forest in mind, considering the preservation of the local environment. The cabin has a lower environmental impact, and honestly, staying here creates benefits both for you personally and for the natural world around you.
Everything inside is as natural as possible. The result is this airy, light filled space that feels both Nordic and Zen at the same time, contrasting beautifully with the darker exterior. The open plan living area is wrapped in those big windows, drawing in natural light and opening directly onto the terrace deck with a private built in hot tub. The views stretch endlessly. Forest in every direction. No buildings. No noise. Just trees.
The STUV wood burning fireplace is the focal point in the living room. There is something grounding about a real fire. It slows you down in the best way. The kitchen was designed for real living. Bright, clean, with European sized appliances tucked neatly away. Outside, grill on the charcoal BBQ or roast s'mores by the fire pit. These are the moments that remind you what actually matters.
We designed two bedrooms with the most comfortable beds we could find and large windows facing straight into the forest. Privacy all around, but you are still completely connected to the environment outside. The bathroom is modern, calming, beautifully proportioned.
And because we know some of you still need to work remotely (we do too), we included a dedicated workspace with fast, reliable Wi-Fi. There is something about working surrounded by trees that clears your head and helps you focus. The stress just disappears out here.
We have left board games for cozy evenings by the fire. Sometimes the best nights are the simplest ones. No screens, no plans, just being present.
Here is the thing about city life. You are always looking at things. Screens, buildings, people, ads, everything demanding your attention.
At Kabinhaus, there are no spaces to be looked at. The spaces are meant to be looked out from. Those floor to ceiling windows? They are there so you can truly connect with what is outside. Watch the weather change. See the wind move through the trees. Notice the leaves rustling. Let your mind wander without a destination.
Kabinhaus sits in a secluded community with no streetlights, so you can actually see the stars. Really see them, the way you did as a kid. We built this as a way of caring for yourself, slowing down, stepping off the treadmill, and remembering what peace actually feels like.
One of our guests said it perfectly: "You can actually spend all weekend in there and feel pretty comfortable."
But honestly? You feel more than comfortable. You feel like yourself again.
We are proud partners with One Tree Planted. We plant 10 trees for every booking. It is a small way to give back to the nature that gives us so much.
Guest access
You will have the entire cabin to yourselves, except for a locked outdoor storage area where we keep maintenance equipment.
We will send you a unique keyless entry code on the morning of check in, after you have acknowledged the house rules. The code activates at 4:00 pm and deactivates automatically at 11:00 am on checkout day. We change it after every guest for security.
Other things to note
We love animals (we really do), but Kabinhaus is a pet free space so we can accommodate guests with allergies. We hope you understand.
The cabin is set in a secluded forest community. Both bedrooms and the bathroom have full blinds for privacy. In the living area, we installed blinds on one side only. The other side stays open to the landscape by design, letting nature flow inside. Don't worry though. There's no visibility into the cabin. Just trees and birds.
The charcoal Weber BBQ is there for slow dinners outside and a little extra cabin time. We provide the BBQ essentials, but please bring your own charcoal if you are planning to use it.
We love when people want to share Kabinhaus with the world. If you're planning any photography, filming, or content creation for social media, blogs, or marketing, just reach out first. We will need a quick agreement and permission before any commercial use.
There are no streetlights in the community, which means the night sky is incredible. The area is very safe, quiet, and peaceful. You will feel it the moment you arrive.
