Tap into the beauty and serenity of Muskoka with a stay on the shores of Muldrew Lake. A cute, one-bedroom, one-bathroom (queen bed) cottage with a secondary, seasonal bunkie (double bed, May-Oct). Take out a paddle board, sip cocktails on the dock or make s'mores by the campfire. 2 day minimum rental. 7 day minimum rental during July/August.
NOTE: Bedroom 2 in the photos is the seasonal (bunkie) (May-Oct). The bunkie also includes a chair which converts to twin bed for extra sleeping room.
The space
Our cottage is best suited for a maximum of four people accommodated in 1 queen bed and 1 double bed during the warmer months. During the colder months, the cottage is ideal for two people as the bunkie is closed from November to April. In the listing photos, Bedroom 1 is the main cottage, year-round bedroom. Bedroom 2 is the bunkie which is open from May to October.
🏠 The cottage property sits on 235ft of frontage with deep-water access off the dock as well as a gradual, rock slope at the shore. Privacy is secured with large rock features between the neighbouring property and a long isthmus to the other cottage. While you can walk into the lake from the rock, small children should always be supervised as the rock can be slippery and the water gets deep fairly fast.
🌲 The property is well-treed by white pine and hemlock with an area out back for outdoor games. Haleway Drive is a well-maintained, single road to access the cottage. Most vehicles will experience no trouble however slow driving is strongly encouraged and winter months a 4-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended on most rural Muskoka roads.
❄️ Please note that winter access is highly dependent on snowfall. While the road is well-plowed, instances of significant snowfall can make it difficult until clearing has occurred. We will check the weather ahead of your stay and inform you of any challenges should they impact your ability to join us. Winter tires are a must for travel in Muskoka.

Please note that during the winter months we pay particular attention to the weather forecasts ahead of your arrival. We are in a notoriously snowy area and heavy snowfalls can impact access. We will:
- Inform you in advance if significant snow is likely to impact your stay.
- Provide updates on any snow clearing (plowing) to better assess accessibility ahead of your stay.
- Provide recommendation to you if there is a potential that poor weather conditions could impact your travel and offer a pre-stay cancellation/refund should it be desired.
*We will note that during your stay we have provisioned the cottage with supplies should you impacted by a snow event (flashlights, candles, chargers and sundries) as well as extensive instructions. This is a normal part of travel and an unlikely scenario. We are unable to refund a night that has already lapsed however, should weather impact your continued enjoyment and a reduction in stay is requested, please reach out directly and we will work with you.
Other things to note
We are not a large space but we have carefully appointed it for you to enjoy. Summertime it is easy to accommodate four people given the outdoor space is usable and the lake provides lots of enjoyment. In the winter, we discourage parties over 2 as the cottage really is meant for a couple.
