Come explore, connect and create in our vibrant, spacious (630 sq ft), private guest suite in the "The Copper Roof House", an iconic landmark in Port Williams. This newly renovated and eclectically inspired space has been intentionally designed by hosts (Ian & Sarah).
The space
Families, free spirits, adventurer's, and, solo-stayer's! Our family is thrilled to host you in our newly renovated, bright, eclectic 630 sq ft private guest suite designed with a holistic and local approach situated in the charming Village of Port Williams, Nova Scotia.
After years of travelling as a family and experiencing all the bumps, bruises and highlights of family travel coupled with our love for the hospitality industry, love for healing and passion for food, we were inspired to find the ideal space to one day host other persons and families during their travel by combining all these passions under one roof - a copper roof!
We are overjoyed we came across this uniquely special property we now call home. By aligning our values around supporting local, connection, using complementary modalities to heal our body, and an overall, a more wholesome approach to life we are over-the-moon excited to have you officially visit us in this very special space on our property! Enjoy the unique features such as a massage and hydrotherapy studio (with an on-site Registered Massage Therapist).
Upon arrival, you will enter through a seperate (side) entrance leading into your own guest suite door which opens to a private mudroom, with extra storage drawers, hooks and a wall space sharing community news & events.
Head up your private staircase and unpack your bags into the custom cabinetry with loads of extra storage! The guest suite features new furniture including; a comfy king-sized bed (linens are hypoallergenic, washed in eco-friendly detergent), sofa-bed (for the littles), and workstation (if you need too) with Wifi available. With a five-piece bath including a jacuzzi tub and shower, plenty of room for you and loved ones. Bathroom features local, handmade soaps.
*Please note the sofa bed (not the one in the pictures as we recently purchased a brand new, larger one) and being brand new does come with some firmness. It is ideal for small children only.)
The open-concept suite has a newly renovated small kitchenette which highlights a live-edge breakfast bar (from our very own barn) and vintage bistro table. Load up the larger fridge with nearby Farmers Market goodies for extended stays and make use of the retro-designed appliances (toaster, microwave, and kettle). French press and local coffee will always be available for your morning coffee; complimentary!
Enjoy movie night on the new, smart TV with your very own popcorn
machine complimented with East Coast popcorn & locally made seasoning. TV will have the option to sign-in to any of your favourite accounts, Netflix, Disney, Prime etc. (Remember to bring your passwords) Or enjoy one of the board games available in your suite.
We are a short walk to local parks, (with newly installed splash pad), wineries, brewery, and delicious local restaurants (Noodle Guy, Port Pub and Bay Of Fundy Brewing). Bike trails (that lead right to Wolfville in Port Williams) and dykes to take a walk closeby, 5 min drive to Wolfville (Farmers Market every Saturday), Acadia University, and easy access to the 101 highway. Situated close to Gaspereau Valley, enjoy a tube ride down the river, local beaches & tourist attractions such as; The Blomidon, The Look-Off, and Bay of Fundy known for the highest tides in the world. Additional On-site Services:
We have blended our passions, (Chef & Massage Therapist) and are thrilled to offer you locally sourced grazing boards as an add-on option for you and guests and a brand new massage/hydrotherapy suite with on-site registered massage therapy services. If you and/or loved ones are seeking a more holistic/self-care experience, rest & rejuvenate in the hydrotherapy studio suite that is equipped with a copper tub for soaking.
*Inquire within for booking details to the massage studio as additional costs apply.*
Guest access
Guests will have access to their suite through a seperate entrance dedicated solely for the private suite and Massage/Hydrotherapy studio! (*Please note there is a fairly narrow staircase to get to private sleeping suite*)
Guests will have access to the massage/hydrotherapy space with confirmed bookings all done prior to arrival. We will happily assist with this!
Guests are also permitted to utilize the private trail access at own risk on the property to connect to the Village trail system to take a stroll along the nature trails and the lovely reservoir located behind the home. Trail access will also lead you to the nearby park with basketball courts, playground, soccer fields and newly installed splash pad.
Free parking for 1 vehicle on driveway.
Other things to note
Please be mindful that we have two littles on the property. You could hear the pitter-patter sounds of small feet, we always try and remain very mindful of fellow families/guests staying but also note we welcome & embrace the morning giggles and joyus energy of people & families.
Please also note that summertime brings lots of extra visitors to the Valley (which we love and are so thankful for), but we do live on the 358, and that comes with additional vehicle activity.
The sofa bed (not the one in the pictures as we recently purchased a new larger one) is brand new and therefore comes with some new firmness. It is ideal for small children only. We have a memory foam topper for the sofa couch as well!
Our guest suite is best suited for couples and/or a small family of up to 4 ppl.
