Created from locally-sourced natural materials, our guest home is sustainable, unique & 7 minutes from Sandbanks.Massive 20" thick walls envelope you in cozy quiet, or open the windows to a chorus of birdsong. We're surrounded by acres of wildflowers, berries and vegetables & back onto a 50 acre forest. As a certified International Chocolate Awards judge & trained chocolatier, Christy is happy to share her knowledge of fine chocolate with guests through guided tastings.

The space
Welcome to The Chocolate Suite in beautiful Prince Edward County.

Escape to Cherry Valley, the perfect place to relax and savour all the County has to offer. The Chocolate Suite is a self-contained guest house, separated from our home by a carport and breezeway. A screened porch looking out onto gardens and forest is for your exclusive use.

Just a 15-minute drive will take you to Picton or Milford, where you can explore art galleries, scenic walking trails, local bakeries, unique boutiques, theatres, and farm markets. A 5-minute walk leads to Snip Family Farm, where you can pick up fresh eggs, chicken, and other farm-fresh goodies. We’re on a County listed cycling route, so don’t forget your bikes.

Chocolate
As a trained chocolatier and certified chocolate taster, I regularly share fine chocolate with our guests, from award-winning bean-to-bar samples to bonbons and drinking chocolate. More formal tastings & education sessions can be arranged.

Kitchen
Our fully equipped kitchen features a full-sized fridge, oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher, four-slice toaster, and a variety of coffee-making options, including Nespresso and French press, beans and a grinder. You'll find everything you need to create your own lovely food memories. During the growing season, we invite you to pick your own vegetables and berries from our garden.

Bed & Bath
Sleep soundly on Portuguese-made, OEKO-TEX certified cotton and muslin linens. Wrap yourself in plush Egyptian cotton towels after enjoying a refreshing shower. Our beautiful rammed earth and glass shower comes complete with hand and shower soap from Savon du Bois, a local favourite.

Fresh Air
The guesthouse is sustainably climate-controlled with a heat pump, complemented by fresh air from our brand new ERV system. European-style windows invite cool County breezes to flow through the space, creating a natural connection to the outdoors.

Water
We supply the Chocolate Suite with filtered water from our well, which is perfect for drinking. There is a cold water dispenser in the fridge. Please be mindful of water use in general, especially for showers.

Toilet
We use a septic system, and the guesthouse is equipped with a wall-mounted toilet (with a weight limit of 350 lbs).

Beach
The famous Sandbanks Provincial Park is just a 7-minute drive away. It’s a must-visit, but keep in mind that it can get busy during the summer, so booking ahead is essential during peak season. Please bring your own beach towels for your trip.
