Welcome to our Harbourview flat in the heart of downtown Charlottetown. View all the happenings of the city from the comfort of your private rooftop deck. This suite has been appointed with the luxury traveller in mind, with both stylish and comfortable furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen, quality linens and a king-size pillow-top mattress for a truly luxurious retreat. Just outside your door are restaurants, shops & pubs, a waterfront boardwalk, parks, a skating rink and much more!

The space
This apartment is located on the third level of a three-unit heritage home built by two prominent shipbuilders in 1844. The building has been completely renovated from top to bottom, so although it retains its heritage charm, the space has all the modern luxuries and feels brand new. Located on the corner of one of the most happening streets downtown, it is the ideal location from which to explore the rest of Charlottetown in any season! On the main level of the building is a dentist’s office, on the second level we have another rental unit and on the third level is your suite.

Three flights of stairs will take you to your suite. Once inside, on your right is our dine-in kitchen, which is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, filtered water, automatic ice, a dishwasher and quality kitchen items to cook up a variety of delicious meals throughout your stay. Enjoy your morning breakfast at our built-in banquet dining area which allows you to gaze out over the Hillsborough River or enjoy a casual meal at the sit-in bar. Off of the kitchen, there is a large rooftop patio with views of the Charlottetown Harbour and the Cruise Ships coming to port, downtown Charlottetown, Peakes Quay, Founders Food Hall, a skating rink/park and a bustling waterfront boardwalk. In the summer months, we have a BBQ and patio furniture to enjoy al fresco meals while taking in the sights.

Unwind at the end of your day on our comfortable chaise sofa in front of the flat screen, smart television which you can use to connect to your personal streaming subscriptions. On cooler evenings, get a little extra cozy with our electric fireplace. On the other side of the living room we have a reading nook to curl up with your favourite book or to simply enjoy the views of Founders Greenspace below and the Hillsborough River Bridge in the distance.

The bedroom boasts an ultra-comfortable, King size, Silk & Snow, Hybrid mattress which combines high-quality pressure-relieving memory foam with 1200 individually wrapped pocket coils, providing support and comfort. This Canadian-made mattress provides a very cool sleep surface and absorbs motion transfer so you can sleep peacefully in all conditions. We dress our beds with luxury cotton linens, down pillows and duvets for a truly luxurious sleep. We apologize in advance if you struggle to get out of bed in the mornings! :)

The bedroom is quite spacious so it also comes with a twin-size daybed/lounging sofa, (used as a single bed for the third guest), a good size closet, dresser, full-length mirror, iron, and ironing board to help you settle into your home-away-from-home.

This suite also comes equipped with full-size washer and dryer and laundry soap and dryer sheets. The bathroom is spacious with a full-size tub, shower, plush white towels, and quality, natural soaps.

Guest access
Guests will have full and private access to their apartment and the patio. They have their own off street parking space.

Other things to note
This apartment is a peaceful retreat for guests looking for a quiet getaway. Emphasis on 'quiet' as we are very strict about no visitors and quiet hours between 9pm and 9am. We have long-term tenants on the second level who we do not wish to be disturbed. Please be advised that there are security cameras at the main level entrances which monitor who is accessing the apartment and no visitors will be permitted at any time without prior permission from your host, Leslie. There are no camera's in or around the apartment/deck itself. Just at the main level entrances.

The location for this apartment is bar-none! Watch the ships come into port from your roof top deck overlooking the Charlottetown harbour. You are steps away from the waterfront with a nice park, boardwalk, shops and restaurants.

Located on the corner of Water and Prince Street which is home to one of Charlottetown's best fresh seafood restaurants, Water Prince Corner Shop. This Restaurant also sells fresh PEI lobster, mussels, oysters, clams, crab and more, so you can cook your fresh seafood meal at home.

Modo Hot Yoga Studio and Pure Spa are a 1 minute walk from your doorstep, both of which we highly recommend for some pampering, rest & rejuvenation. Founders Food Hall, right out your front door, hosts some of PEI's best local takeout restaurants, shops and our premium liquor and wine store with indoor and outdoor seating, so it's a great spot to hang out in all weather! From this location, you can get a horse and carriage ride, rent a kayak, bike, SUP board and many more activities. In the winter, Founders Hall has a skating rink, in the summer it is a nice green space, great for an afternoon picnic! A block away from your home is Peaks Quay Marina, park and boardwalk with more waterfront restaurants, shops and Cows Creamery. Throughout the year you can catch live music, movies in the park, small festivals and more.
If you are keen on your coffee, across the street you will also find Receiver Coffee (Brass shop location). It is a must-visit for amazing coffee, organic breads, exceptional pastries, sandwiches and more. In the evenings they have a simple dinner menu and are licensed - you can see their patio from your deck!

While this suite is at the center of the hustle and bustle of downtown Charlottetown, it is still fairly quiet in the evenings as the pubs are located on different streets, and Charlottetown is generally a fairly sleepy city. This area is also very safe to travel alone. People in Charlottetown are very friendly and trust worthy and usually happy to answer visitors’ questions!
