Private suite vacation rentals in Cuba

La mia esperienza qui è stata perfetta. Ho avuto problemi con le date di arrivo e Landys ha spostato il mio pernottamento senza problemi, nonostante le difficoltà dovute all’assenza di Internet. Mi ha aiutato con consigli e indicazioni. La posizione è ottima, vicinissima al centro e al terminal dei bus. Inoltre il ragazzo che lavora per landys mi ha accolto con cortesia e entusiasmo. Our Stay at Claudia's was nothing short of excellent. We were warmly received by Claudia's mother Mayelin, and very well attended to. She helped us change money, find sugar, and even gifted us a fresh lobster. The apartment itself had everything we were looking for. Highlights were the outdoor terrace with sweeping views of Santa Marta and the terrace pool, great for shaking the heat. We chose the location for its proximity to legal and civil registry offices (2 blocks), but we found that it was also close to some excellent restaurants, by Cuban standards, Mojito highly recommended, and a very short walk (20min) or taxi (5min) to the white sand beach and turquoise water of Varadero beach. The value at Claudia's place can't be beat!

Lolita and Carlos are great hosts and very friendly, I thought they were very welcoming and really helped make my holiday special. Their house is not far from the local beach and not far from the beach resort of Vardero. Havana is about 2 hours away by car. The flat where my friends stayed (upstairs) is lovely, well laid out and modern, it is light and airy with all mod cons including kitchen, dining area and bathroom, it has 2 large double beds and is open plan - perfect for a family or two friends. There is also an upstairs veranda on the roof. WIFI access is available from there sometimes (WIFI access has to be bought for a small fee). The flat I stayed in downstairs is less modern but perfectly adequate for a stay in Cuba, it has one double bed. The flat is situated within a 5-7 minute walk to a lovely beach with white sands, with palm trees and generally very calm sea, as it is protected by a small rocky reef. The water was crystal clear and warm (visited early May) and there are plenty of fish to see by the reef. There are no facilities on the beach but there is an ice cream bar about 4 minutes walk away (not always open) and a cafe nearby the school facing the beach but we did not visit. Over the bridge about a 3 minute walk away from the house, you come to a little town, where you can go to the market and buy fruit, vegetables and also rice, (sometimes), there are also a few shops with a few basics. Lolita will do as much as she can to get something specific you might need. I would recommend that you dine at the house for the small extra fee, Lolita knows where to source foods, that are simply not available in Cuba (many shops are empty or have only canned goods) and makes lovely meals. For breakfast for example, we had fresh juices, fried eggs, or sandwiches with ham and cheese, a fruit salad, coffee with milk. There are no lemons in Cuba, only limes. In the evening, we had meals such as prawns in a sauce with rice, side salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers and a desert. Hawkers peddle their wares along the road in the morning and evening and you can stop them and ask to buy, if you are interested. Lolita will do washing for you, again for an additional fee. If you are British, bring pounds, it is the best rate available. Euros are next and then US$ which have the worst rate and are charged an additional 10% fee. ATM did not work for my UK visa debit card, but I was able to go to an exchange kiosk at the airport and withdraw money via them using this card. The currency used in Cuba is the "Convertable Peso" or CUC, don't get this confused with the other type of money that only locals use and is worth 24 times less than the CUC. Traveling in Cuba can be expensive but try to negotiate the price, you will be travelling in a Cadillac from the 1950's or 60's with no seat belts or air conditioning but very colourful and novel! I even saw an old Austin! We were lucky enough to see the crab migration in the Bay of Pigs. Havana is great fun to visit, Varadero was about a 15 minute drive from our house where they have big hotels, some souvenir shops, chemist and restaurants. Go to Cuba and enjoy the lovely sun, beautiful sea, great nature and friendly people!

Mauro's place was as pictured and the house staff were always available, helpful, and friendly while also respecting your use of the space. The property is as pictured, but is in a more remote province of Havana that is not near the city center and does not have good access to taxis and local food options so you are forced to eat at the property or to pay the pricier prices of the surrounding seaside restaurants on the avenue. Taxis to good restaurants were a bit pricey and resulted in a not very budget friendly stay, although it was a great opportunity to enjoy a relaxing and private seaside oasis.

The best place you can stay in Vinales! Osmary is a super host! We had the most cutest, newest and sparkling clean apartment with an awesome bathroom. Breakfast is great and afternoon coffee as a gesture makes you feel like home. Tucked away behind the hosts house makes it more quiet with a cute veranda and rocking chairs overseeing a garden. On the Main Street of Vinales and a 2 min walk to to central square. Don’t look further and just book this apartment!!!!!!

Adriannas uncle Agustin checked me in. Throughout my stay he was friendly and helpful. The place is in a great location, a few blocks from the beach, good neighbourhood. The rooster wakes you up bright and early! Everything was great.

this guest suite is very clean and on an excellent street with very nice homes. it is very safe and walking distance to nice resturaunts, hotels and nightclubs. Mauricio speaks English very well and liliana is a very good host and makes sure you are feeling well and happy. I will be back again. there are no pests, cockroaches or other bugs. the house is extremely clean and everything works including thr toilets and hot water in the shower. it was the best rental I had on my vacation. the location is very safe for people traveling alone, women and families. the area is very high end compared to other areas. if you want to be safe, and clean and free from locals harassing you this is the place. you can trust my opinion and experience in cuba that this house is a hidden gem.

Pictures don't do justice of how beautiful the space is . Excellent home away from home . Unbelievable host, friendly , helpful and very respectful of our privacy and use of space . The location wasn’t easy to find, but owner’s son was speaking English very good and helped with the transport to the bus station next day. Very nice and helpful people. I recommend the place

Maikel is an excellent host always available to help. Very nice view from the upper terrace. Excellent air conditioning and breakfast. Nothing could have been better! Maikel makes you feel at home. We would definitely stay here again!

Una pena que tan sólo nos hospedamos una noche. Felipe y Roxana fueron muy flexibles al autorizarnos 11 am la hora de entrada que usualmente es a las 3pm. Al llegar tanto Felipe como Roxana nos recibieron, nos entregaron la llave y nos hicieron sentir como en casa. El lugar nos encantó. Es muy acogedor, espacioso y extremadamente limpio en todas sus áreas. Las fotos son tal cual las publicadas y el lugar es muy privado separado de la casa de los anfitriones, pero al lado. De inmediato sepusieron a nuestra disposición de tener alguna necesidad. Verdaderamente regresaremos a hospedarnos inmediatamente regresemos a Cuba!

Nous avons passé un super séjour chez Alberto. Le logement est conforme à l'annonce. Il est à minutes du centre. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et nous avons même dîner un soir à la casa. Je recommande !

Tomas Antonio and his wife Linnet are lovely hosts who make you feel that "mi casa es su casa". Tomas is very easy to communicate with and speaks excellent English. The big room also with an gigantic terrace is extremely priceworthy.

Jhanesky and her husband and cousin were excellent hosts, extremely well-prepared and with impeccable attention to detail. The refrigerator was fully stocked with water and other drinks for our use. The house is in an excellent location for Varadero beach and the area's restaurants. Jhanesky provided us with recommendations for activities in the city and transportation to other cities. I recommend 100%, I would definitely return.

The location is very quiet but well connected to big avenues and restaurants. It is easy to get to and from well known locations. The place is roomy, clean and cozy. Love it. The host is a very friendly and approachable. She has very nice and well informed suggestions for everything. I highly recommend this place. I myself will try to book it again next time I go to Havana.

Highly recommended airbnb, a wonderful green garden and very nice people around. This place is a great oasis in Havanna. The Appt. is spacious, very clean and with good beds. A very tasty breakfast. Adys is very helpful and great person!
