. . .The photos on the listing had sold us a small, clean and cozy cocoon... We found an apartment with questionable walls (white is no longer what it was), a cleaning visibly done with the feet, and a noisy air conditioning worthy of a plane engine — ironic, especially when we are reminded every two hours that we should not make noise after 11:30 p.m.

On the communication side, we got more messages than in a romantic breakup. Too bad, because with a little more sincerity in the listing and a good sponge, it could have done that. In short: we've survived, but we won't be back.. . .

. . .A great place for the price! Central to downtown, Mont Royal, and the Plateau. Quiet for such a busy, urban location. Lots of great restaurants nearby. There are several steps to the apartment and parking, so not for people with mobility issues. Offers a real slice of life in downtown Montreal!. . .

. . .Really enjoyed the location among shops and restaurants and close to the metro. The balcony was a fun feature. The apartment is surprisingly quiet inside for being located on a busy street.. . .

. . .Great location! So much access to food, bars, whatever you need. It’s in a main road but the noise wasn’t bad at all. Nothing fancy but a good place for a lot of heads to sleep. The bedrooms right by the road got a little more noise, but they provide fans in every room and a white noise which was really nice. Linens were all clean, two bath towels on every single bed.

It had two entrances but they share a private hallway/stair set, so you don’t need to worry about bumping into neighbors in the hallway. It must be all brick walls because we did not hear any neighbors moving around which was really nice. Has two balconies overlooking the street which were nice to have, along with a big private back space. I would definitely go back here if I was traveling with a group that wanted to get out and explore, and also have a quiet space when they got back.. . .
