The cabin features 2 king beds, 2 twin beds, & 2 bathrooms; blending modern comfort with rustic character for a mountain escape surrounded by nature's own beauty. The Lodge has a hot tub under the trees & stars; perfect for unwinding.
We are waiting for Mother Nature to reclaim our outdoor space & determine our landscaping.
The space
Welcome to Spruce Hollow Lodge, our brand new one-of-a-kind, custom built log home designed and built by our family. We have labored over every detail of our home; sanded and stained each piece of wood, laid the tile and even built the countertops, vanities and beds.
**Please note there is an adjacent property (The Blue Bunkie) that we sometimes use for our own family and is available for rent on Airbnb. Upon availability, it can be booked along with Spruce Hollow, for larger group gatherings.**
**HOT TUB is located on its own private deck under the stars.**
Enjoy the warmth of open wood beams on the ceiling, hardwood floor throughout and floor to ceiling windows in the great room. A large and comfortable sofa facing a wood stove that invites you to curl up with a book, watch a movie or gaze upon our treed lot and perhaps see some local wildlife. The coffee and end tables are made from the ridge beam that flows through the center of the exposed vaulted ceiling.
Our fully stocked kitchen provides ample cooking space with a full-size stove/oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. We aim to provide a space so that you may create the same meals for your family that you would enjoy at home.
There is a bedroom with a connected bathroom on the main floor with a king size bed and cozy rocking chair. Another bedroom boasting a king bed and stylish leather chairs is upstairs as well as a bedroom with 2 twin beds. Completing the upstairs living space is another full bathroom with a large, deep bathtub and a loft with 2 comfortable leather recliners.

As you climb the custom wooden staircase, you will come to the open-to-below loft area that features:
> 2 red leather recliners
> Unique side table made of Jarrah wood directly from Western Australia.
> Beautiful view of the treed lot surrounding the cabin from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Off the loft area, you will find the upstairs bathroom which boasts a:
> A large, full-size bathtub/shower combo.
> Custom vanity with vessel sink, wooden purple heart countertop & waterfall faucet.
> Ample towels, makeup removing cloths
> Silicon mat for hair styling appliances.
> As this is an open loft area, it is not suitable for unsupervised young children.
The upstairs main bedroom could also be considered a master as it also has a:
> Custom made king-size bed with 4 king-size pillows.
> 2 stylish leather saddle chairs.
> Full-size mirror.
> Clothes rack and hangers.
> Charging stations & lighting on both bedside custom shelves.

Rounding out the upstairs is the 3rd bedroom which has:
> 2 twin-size beds with 2 queen-size pillows each.

> Children's games & puzzles.
> Clothes rack & hangers.
The covered porch nearest the driveway is where the wood for the woodstove is stored. This is also where the rack for snowboards and skis is located.
The patio with the vaulted ceiling overlooking the property is where you will find the patio table and furniture. There is also a staircase that leads to the lower deck and hot tub.
The property surrounding Spruce Hollow is rural and rugged and there are natural hazards associated with choosing our home. We are a new property and we have intentionally chosen to let Mother Nature decide how the new landscaping will look as we prefer naturalness over the manicured look. This process will take a little time. Please take care when navigating the outside.
You may see wildlife as we are in a rural, wooded area. Please take care and dispose of trash appropriately. Please do not leave food outside unattended.
We have drawn inspiration from the landscape to build our cabin and even some of the wood used within is from our very own property. Please be mindful and respectful of the nature that we and our neighbors.
**Spruce Hollow Lodge is located near Golden Donald Upper Road which provides convenience for access to the Town of Golden, but you may also hear road traffic from time-to-time.**

Guest access
You will have full access to the main and upper floors. The basement is reserved for the cleaners and storage. The outdoor space is yours to enjoy responsibly, however please note that we are a new build property and the outside space is rugged. We have purposely chosen to let Mother Nature reclaim the land surrounding the cabin and this will take time. Thank you for your understanding.
Other things to note
>The Little Blue Bunkie is located nearby and may be occupied during your time with us.
>The ceiling fans in all rooms are turned on/off by remote control. It can take a couple of seconds for the walled light switch to turn the lights of the fans on. In the bedroom with the twin beds, the fan is only controlled with the remote and you need to press the blackout light bulb to turn the light on. Please do not remove the remote controls from their slots.
> Our countertops are custom-made from wood and they are susceptible to damage from heat and cutting. Please use the hot plate barriers and cutting boards provided to ensure there is no damage.
>There are wood piles located around the property. For your safety, please do not climb on them.
>Both sides of the house can be slippery in snow and rain. Please take great care when navigating the outside of the property. We have a rugged landscape and there are natural hazards associated with it.
>The patio is quite high and therefore children should be monitored at all times to avoid climbing and falling. The staircase to this patio is also quite high and we do not provide gates at either end.
>There is very limited cell phone reception in this area. Please plan accordingly. We provide WIFI for your convenience.
>We are on treated well water. The water is perfectly safe.
>We have 5 disclosed exterior cameras protecting our property. Locations of each are included in the listing and none face the interior of the cabin-all are pointed away.
> Everything in the broom closet located next to the washer/dryer is available for guest use.
> The upstairs area can get quite warm, especially if the wood stove is lit. To ensure your sleeping comfort, please consider keeping the bedroom doors closed if you use the wood stove.
>Please note that sound carries quite easily throughout the house as it is open concept. We provide ear plugs for your convenience.
>We provide firewood for our wood-stove onsite.
> It is not uncommon for our region to see wildlife, including bears.
We do ask that you follow the usual precautions such as keeping food and garbage securely stored, and please don’t leave any food or scented items outside.
It’s very rare for there to be any issues, but we like to keep guests informed so everyone can enjoy the surroundings safely and with peace of mind.
