### Groovy Location Highlights
You're literally staying in the best location in Oliver! Right across the street, you'll find the arena, curling rink, community park with a nine-hole disc golf course, community swimming pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, beach volleyball net, play structures, ball diamonds, paved walking loops, and a community stage. As part of your stay, you'll have access to two sets of golf discs and a family set of four tennis rackets to enjoy all the amenities.
Only meters away is the Okanagan River, featuring a swimming hole perfect for a quick dip. Flanking the river on both sides is the international hike and bike trail with a 22 km paved pathway—ideal for walking, riding, rolling, or running. This trail offers excellent wildlife viewing, and from late September to October, you might catch the salmon spawning.
Just a five-minute walk away, you'll find a splash park and playground, along with Oliver's downtown core, which boasts restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. A ten-minute walk takes you to Rotary Beach on Tuc-el-nuit Lake, a fantastic spot to soak up the sun and enjoy views of McIntyre Bluff.
The world-famous Eastside Corner Store is just a block away, offering specialty coffees, slushies, and ice cream. You gotta try a cookies and cream root beer slushy float!
Being in Oliver, Canada's Wine Capital, you're within a 30-minute drive of over 50 wineries. Bartier Bros and Here’s the Thing Vineyards are two of my favorites. The District Wine Village is only a 5 minute drive away. For racing enthusiasts, Area 27 Race Track is only a seven-minute drive away. Fairview mountain golf course and Nk’Mip Canyon are both within 7 minutes drive.
When winter rolls around, Oliver transforms into a snowy paradise (the surrounding mountains that is 😉). Mount Baldy Resort, just a 45-minute drive away, offers fantastic skiing and snowboarding. For those who prefer cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, the McKinney Nordic Ski Trails are only 35 minutes away, providing beautifully groomed tracks for all levels.
No matter the season, there's always ample hiking and outdoor experiences to be had. From the crisp, invigorating air of winter hikes to the lush, green trails of spring, the vibrant summer activities, and the stunning fall foliage, Oliver offers a year-round outdoor adventure!
